JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for all custodial duties at the assigned building within the County.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Custodial Duties – This position ensures that the assigned area is clean and safe for both citizens and employees. This includes cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors.

2. Backup Support – When there isn’t enough staff, the incumbent will perform any custodial duties necessary, making sure that the building is clean and safe by the end of the day.

This position is responsible for making decisions daily on the work that should be done, and who to call if there is a special project need, such as a spill on the floor. However, light bulbs or any other building issues require assistance from her supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

JOB SUMMARY:

This position consists of the responsibilities of dispatching and maintaining communication with each officer in the field. You are also responsible for receiving and dispatching calls for all code enforcement related complaints. Individual will assist in administrative duties for the Director when needed.

1. Customer Complaint Service – This position receives inbound calls from citizens anywhere in the County concerning animal enforcement, litter enforcement, property nuisance enforcement, zoning enforcement and business or mobile home registration enforcement complaints. The incumbent takes all pertinent information regarding location, the complaint and issue, and name and address where available, and contact information of the caller from multiple call lines. The incumbent determines whether or not someone needs to be dispatched immediately based upon the priority of the call, and if so, which unit to dispatch based upon current location, which unit is covering that area of the County, or who is available. The incumbent follows up to be certain the call was handled as planned.

2. Documentation – After complaints are received and units dispatched if needed, the incumbent enters the information into the database for future follow up on these cases. There may also be other databases maintained, such as PetPoint, Access, GIS based software, Excel Spreadsheets, and department calendar.

3. Field Monitoring – For the safety of all officers, the dispatcher will check in with everyone periodically when on calls, to be certain all are safe.

4. Administrative duties – Filing, case research, procurement reservations for purchase orders, data entry, and other duties as assigned.

It is helpful for the Dispatcher to have a working knowledge of the County Codes and penalties under the laws in order to understand priorities or complaints as they are received.

This position operates with limited supervision. The challenges of this position are being able to prioritize the calls based upon limited information, multitasking and being able to dispatch someone in a timely manner.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under occasional supervision, provides leadership and supervision of subordinates on assigned shift in the performance of emergency medical services activities, ensuring prompt and proper response to medical emergencies. Enforces crew compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, protocols and standards of quality and safety. Responds to emergency calls, providing medical assistance at the paramedic level. Drives ambulance in response to emergency calls; requests additional resources for the control of incidents as required; ensures safety at the scene; may operate as incident commander at the scene of mass casualties.

Provides advanced life support and emergency care to the sick and injured; determines nature and extent of injuries or illnesses; assists in lifting and carrying patients in and out of ambulance, and transports patients to appropriate medical facility.

Performs such procedures as immobilization and bandaging, CPR, intubation, cardiac activity monitoring, administering medications, electrical cardio-version and/or defibrillation, IV therapy, needle decompression, and others as permitted according to certification; maintains constant awareness of patient condition; identifies and relays diagnostic signs to medical personnel while in route to medical facility; reports verbally and in writing to emergency room personnel upon arrival.

Assists with extrication and other rescue procedures as necessary.

Notifies dispatch personnel and Coroner’s Office in the case of patient death; arranges for the protection of property and evidence at the scene.

Prepares run reports to document patient care, response time, compliance with medical protocol, and patient billing information; prepares unit and station reports.

Ensures crew compliance with infection control procedures.

Responds to complaints from the public regarding personnel and/or activities of the unit.

May coordinate special teams, programs or operations as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position assures road construction projects are built according to plans, and that the EPA guidelines of the clean water act are followed.
Note: The list below is not comprehensive; this job is also responsible for other duties as assigned.

1. Construction Site Visits – This position travels throughout Aiken County to observe the building and/or maintenance projects of the County roads and buildings. This position is usually involved in pre-construction meetings, and responsible for reviewing and understanding the plans. Having reviewed the plans for each project, the incumbent determines whether or not the work is being done according to plan. The incumbent will attempt to negotiate while onsite to resolve any potential problems. Those that cannot be resolved are referred to the Construction Manager or County Engineer.

2. Stormwater Assessment – While at the Construction site, the incumbent will check the management of pollutants from the site to be certain all required measures are being taken to prevent discharge into the local water supply. Any problems notes are normally addressed and remediated at the site. Any unresolved issues are referred to the Stormwater Manager.

3. CAD Drafting – This position MAY be involved in updating manual plans with CAD drawings, as well as updating the reports that accompany such drawings. This may involve researching for conceptual designs and presentation drawing and sketches for roads, drainage, buildings, and easement/right of way projects.

4. Mapping – This position may develop GIS maps and maintain databased for Engineering/Stormwater projects using ArcGIS software.

5. Administrative Duties – This position may be responsible for completing a variety of reports, including BMP’s, citizen complaint reports, or other construction related paperwork.

This position works with very little supervision while traveling onsite. The incumbent is expected to understand the federal, state and local regulations governing this work, and to work collaboratively in the field to ensure compliance.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining the Aiken County cadastral geospatial data, using surveys and various other data sources to create, modify and delete parcel boundaries and descriptive attributes.

1. Cadastral Database Management – This position is responsible for accurate analysis, processing and documentation of incoming deeds and plats, using them to update the County cadaster appropriately, quickly and accurately. It suggests modifications to cadastral workflow and procedures to improve quality and efficiency of the maintenance process. The position works with surveyors, land developers, attorneys, Assessor staff and Planning staff to evaluate and suggest modifications to incoming deeds and plats. The cadastral database is used by the RMC, Assessor, Planning and Development, Tax Collector, Public Works, Engineering and other County departments as well as the public, and must be accurate and reliable.

2. Spatial Data Analysis and Cartography – This position conducts simple ad hoc and recurring analyses of geospatial data to produce information after evaluating the information needed, the datasets required, the analysis procedure and the optimal output format/s. It creates clear, informative and aesthetically pleasing map products.

3. Technical/Managerial Support – This position assists County and public customers with using GIS technology and advises them on how to incorporate GIS analyses into their workflows and decision-making. In addition, the incumbent performs software installation, troubleshooting and other GIS Help Desk services for assigned departments.

4. Fieldwork – This position conducts occasional fieldwork projects to collect geospatial data, including project design, preparation, collection and post-collection processing.

5. Drone Services – This position may be asked to sit for, and pass, the FAA UAV Certification Exam to become a certified drone pilot in command. It also may participate in scheduling, planning, and execution of drone missions in support of County business and to process the resulting imagery for clients using Esri Drone 2 Map and other software from time to time.

The primary challenge of this positon is the verification of data to ensure accuracy. When there are complex issues affecting multiple years of data and tax base, management will be consulted.

The incumbent may interface regularly both internally and externally, including surveyors, attorneys, assessors, and co-workers.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position operates, monitor, maintains, and trouble-shoots the wastewater treatment facility and it's processes. 1.
